🌱 About the Program

The School for Social Transformation (SST) is an experiential leadership development journey designed specifically for aspiring changemakers aged 20–35. The 7th edition of SST (August 2025) aims to foster impactful leadership aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), empowering participants to create transformative changes in their communities.

🎯 Program Phases

1. Online Preparatory Phase (4 weeks, online)

• Duration: 4 weeks
• Content: Interactive workshops, reflective exercises, foundational training in Active Citizenship, social change strategies, personal growth, and community impact.

2. Experiential Learning Journey (6 Days, offline in Kerala)

• Location: Famsum & Changemakers Ashram, Kozhikode
• Activities: Immersive experiences, leadership skill-building, community engagement, cultural exchanges, peer collaborations, and collective vision-building.

3. Community Action Project (6 Months, in participants’ home communities)

• Support: One-on-one mentorship, peer support, structured resources
• Outcome: Each participant designs and implements a meaningful community project aligned with the SDGs, making tangible positive impacts locally.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

• Age: 20–35 years
• Location: Primarily from Kerala (participants from other states may join future local editions)
• Inclusivity: Women, gender minorities, and individuals from underserved communities are strongly encouraged to apply
• Experience: No prior educational qualifications or work experience required
• Commitment: Must fully participate in the 4-week online phase and the immersive offline journey
• Mindset: Genuine dedication to personal and social transformation

💰 Program Contribution & Scholarships

We strive for accessibility and equity. In previous editions, 8 out of every 10 participants received a 90% scholarship. Special effort is made to include applicants from financially vulnerable backgrounds, gender minorities, and those who have faced significant life challenges.
