From Awareness to Action
The Journey Begins — SST 10.0: Active Citizenship & Constitutional Values
Over the past few weeks, something powerful has been unfolding.
Across Kerala and beyond, young people who applied for the School for Social Transformation (SST 10.0) have already begun taking action in their own communities — even before the program officially begins.
From climate awareness sessions and waste management discussions, to nature walks, biodiversity explorations, and eco-friendly product making workshops, these actions reflect one thing clearly:
👉 The intention to move from knowing to doing.
🌍 What We Are Seeing
Participants have:
- Conducted climate awareness sessions addressing real concerns like climate anxiety
- Led community discussions on waste management and sustainability
- Organized nature walks and biodiversity learning experiences
- Engaged students and communities in eco-friendly practices like paper bag and reuse initiatives
- Created spaces for dialogue, reflection, and action
These are not large-scale interventions yet — and that’s exactly the point.
They are small, intentional actions rooted in local contexts.
💡 A Deeper Realisation
One insight keeps repeating across participants:
People are aware of climate change.
But they often don’t know how to act.
SST exists to bridge this gap.
Not by giving ready-made solutions —
but by enabling individuals to think, act, and lead within their own communities.
🔥 What SST 10.0 Is About
The School for Social Transformation (SST 10.0) is not just a program.
It is a 9-day immersive journey designed to:
- Build constitutional and civic understanding
- Enable problem-solving at the community level
- Create leaders who take responsibility, not just opinions

Participants will move through:
Phase 1: Grounding & Exposure
Understanding self, society, and realities on the ground
Phase 2: Constitutional Workshop
Exploring rights, responsibilities, and democratic values
Phase 3: Social Hackathon
Designing and prototyping real community solutions
✨ Solutions Festival — Grand Finale
The journey culminates in the Solutions Festival, where participants present their community action projects to changemakers, mentors, and leaders.
This is where:
- Ideas become prototypes
- Conversations become commitments
- Learning becomes action

From beach cleanups to climate sessions, from student workshops to community dialogues —
we are already seeing the seeds of change.
SST is about nurturing those seeds into sustained, meaningful action.
