Internship Opportunity at The Ignite Foundation
Are you passionate about youth development and social transformation? Do you want to contribute to impactful projects while building your skills? The Ignite Foundation invites applications for a three-month internship program designed for motivated individuals from Kerala. This is your chance to work with a dynamic team on meaningful initiatives, while gaining hands-on experience in leadership development and community engagement.
Program Details:
- Duration: October 15 – January 15
- Mode of Engagement: Hybrid (80 days online, 10 days offline)
- Remuneration: All internship-related costs will be covered, including accommodation, food, and local transport during offline activities. No stipend is provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Interns will play a critical role in organizing and facilitating two editions of the School for Social Transformation in Kerala:
- One edition in South Kerala
- One edition in North Kerala
Interns will support participants across all three phases of the program, ensuring smooth operations and engagement. Areas of focus include education, community development, social entrepreneurship, and sustainability.
Engagement Areas:
You will have the opportunity to work across various verticals, such as:
- Project Planning
- Project Design
- Project Execution
- Finance Management
To ensure the best fit, your skills and interests will be matched through mentorship calls, and preferences for specific verticals will be considered.
Engagement Mode:
- Offline Training at Changemakers Ashram: 2-3 days in October to prepare you for your role.
- Online Engagement (November): 8 hours per week, assisting participants during Phase 1.
- In-Person Engagement (December): 5 days of active participation in community engagement activities.
- Online Engagement (December & January): Continued support for participants during Phase 3, 8 hours per week.

- Location: Kerala-based, aged 21-35 years.
- Languages: Proficiency in Malayalam and English.
- Passion: Commitment to youth development and social change.
- Availability: Willingness to engage both online and offline for the program’s duration.
- Action-Oriented: Able to lead and adapt in challenging situations.

- Can I attend fully online?
Participation in the training is compulsory, with offline engagement required for certain areas of the program. - Whom do I report to?
You will report to one of the co-founders of The Ignite Foundation, ensuring close mentorship. - What costs do I need to bear?
We cover food, accommodation, and local transport during the offline engagement. However, travel to and from your home or college is not covered, except for special financial considerations. - I am a student. Can I apply?
Absolutely! We welcome students, as they bring fresh perspectives and enthusiasm to the program. - Can I cancel my internship?
Yes, a mutual termination is possible if it's determined that the internship isn’t the right fit. However, no certificate will be issued in such cases. - I’m not from Kerala, Can I apply?
No, currently we are looking for applications only from Keralites for this edition.
